One of the early freeware revivalists: between about 1992 and 2004 he hand-digitized more than a hundred classic display faces in FontMonger, AdLib, Hobo, and Caslon Antique among them, and gave them away. His drawings track the printed catalogs of Dan X. Solo's Solotype archive; his Stop is a tracing of the face Solo's catalog listed as Interface.
He left no website, no interviews, and no biography; every file carries the same copyright line, 'Freeware! from A. Carr. Remember to vote!' FontSpace holds the largest surviving set of his work, 38 fonts, and his Carr-prefixed dingbat series (Balloons, Electronic Dingbats, Government, Keys, Space) remains in daily use.
