A typesetter from the pre-digital era who spent the years around 2000 digitizing, completing, and hinting historic German typefaces — blackletter above all — and giving the results away. His own summary of the work: he is not a designer, but adds missing letters to public-domain fonts to complete their character sets, and builds new weights (shadow, inline) from them.
Fonts, in his stated philosophy, are cultural heritage — so everything is free, for commercial use too, without restrictions. His revivals of Rudolf Koch's Klingspor faces are among the most complete digital survivals of that catalog, and his FontSpace page carries them alongside hundreds of other historic revivals, with millions of downloads.
